WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A SESSION WITH RYLEN: Amma Therapy with Rylen is an extensive, dynamic and comprehensive form of Wholistic Healthcare which includes Traditional Chinese Medicine, 5 – Elements, Asian bodywork, wholistic nutrition, Chinese & Western herbs and supplements,  meditation and qigong. Rylen will guide each client to reach their highest potential and embrace a lifestyle that is congruent with their beliefs.

WHAT IS AMMA BODYWORK THERAPY? Amma is the oldest Chinese word to describe massage.  Amma is a specialized form of bodywork therapy that combines deep, therapeutic pressure and acu-point stimulation. The treatment is based on Chinese medical principles for accessing and treating imbalances in the energy system.  Amma Bodywork Therapy, like acupuncture, focuses on the balance and movement of Qi (energy) within the body.  Whereas the acupuncturist inserts needles into the energy pathways to stimulate and move the energy, the Amma practitioner relies primarily on the sensitivity and strength of the hands to manipulate the client’s life Qi.

WHAT IS WHOLISTIC NUTRITION? Wholistic Nutrition recognizes that food is more than it’s nutritional components.  It recognizes food as deeply sustaining and nourishing our lifeforce.  Rylen looks at the traditional energetics of foods as well as current  nutritional wisdom and combines them to make sensible doable individual recommendations for each client.

WHAT ABOUT THE HERBS AND SUPPLEMENTS?  Ultimate health in today’s world, may include the judicious use of herbs and supplements. Rylen is extensively trained and nationally certified in the healthy use of herbs and supplements. Herbs/supplements may be used to maintain health, to mitigate negative effects of pharmaceutical drugs, or to treat specific conditions directly.
